William Angliss Confectionery Centre
Background
For over 60 years William Angliss Institute of TAFE has been the
Specialist Centre for the food processing, technology, food retailing,
hospitality and tourism training. It is the largest government-funded
specialist TAFE Institute in the nation.
Support for confectionery industry
William Angliss Institute of TAFE is a proud supporter of the confectionery
industry and considers its relationship as being strategically crucial
for the development of the industry.
Training Programs Developed
Training programs have been developed in conjunction with representatives
of the confectionery and related industries and William Angliss,
to fulfill the needs of the confectionery industry to provide trained
graduates who will be able to develop career opportunities in manufacturing,
technology and management.
The programs give industry a chance to support the growth of the
next generation of confectionery professionals and leaders, in order
that there will be a supply of skilled operators into the future.
Confectionery Centre
The recently opened Confectionery Centre has been designed to support
and nurture the needs of the confectionery industry for either training
or research and product development purposes.
Accredited training programs
William Angliss Institute will work with employers to develop accredited
training programs that address the employer’s needs legally
and commercial such as workplace training and mentoring programs,
food safety implementation, occupational health and safety and quality
programs.
